PisteHors.com informs that the French National Association for the Study of Snow and Avalanches will hold a series of one day long conferences named Avalanche Days starting from November and up to January. These events will take place in Lyon, Annecy, Romans and Nice and will concern snow safety and avalanche threat.
The Avalanche Days will gather both the best specialists on snow studies, avalanche safety and avalanche rescue and amateurs of backcountry and off-piste skiing and snowboarding so the participants could exchange their expert opinions and knowledge. Ski guides and coaches, weathermen and lifesavers will focus on practical activities and interacting with other participants in order to demonstrate them safety tools and techniques used in winter mountain trips.
The conferences will deal not only with basic info about snow safety and avalanches but also with such important issues as human factors affecting safety in mountains, accidents and actions needed to prevent them and ease their consequences, tips and tricks of route planning using maps and on the ground. The discussions will hold in French. More info on this matter you can find on Association’s website - https://www.anena.org/.
