What is Guilty in Snow Melting at Ski Resorts?

According to the statistics, the 2007 year was one of the warmest years after 1998. The beginning of 2007 year was a bit cooler than its end that’s why many of the resorts had some difficulties with snow and lack of tourists. Now the situation is a little bit better as many of the ski resorts are opening their pistes. Many of the Swiss resorts have been accepting their first visitors for 10 days already. The previous season wasn’t good at all for them but now the weather has given them the 2nd chance.

There are many different opinions on what is the main reason for such a bad winter that was last year. Many people consider that the main reason for this is the global warming, and because of it climate becomes warmer and warmer within each next year.

Others believe that the global warming is not the main reason because there were very warm winter before 2007. I.e. many skiers remember a warm winter that took place in Austria 40 years ago.

Of course, there is an ecological reason that causes warm winters that are really disastrous for many ski resorts, and the change of the climate is really obvious, but in fact it is a very arguable question yet if the global warming is the main reason.
