New Snow Record

Switzerland is expecting to have a very good ski and snowboard season. Due to early and heavy snowfalls many resorts are going to open earlier than it was planned.

Such resorts as Davos, St. Antonien and Braunwald were lacking snow last year but this year the situation changed greatly. They have already received a large amount of snow. The average snow level there is approximately 70 cm and it is going to be even higher soon.

According to the statistics in Switzerland such heavy snowfalls took place more than 50 years ago. And it seems that this year the weather decided to repeat the situation again.

Of course, such heavy snowfalls is good news not only for skiers and snowboarders who want to spend their winter vacation in Switzerland. It is also good news for people living there because the season is going to be busy, and people will have much work over there. So they have started to get ready for winter even now.
