Skiing in Czech Republic
If you want to have fun and action in winter you should come to ski in Czech Republic one day. With its numerous mountains of medium heights it offers really good conditions for winter sports of all kinds.
The beautiful ski areas of Czech Republic are open for everyone and have all the modern facilities that are really excellent. There are great tracks, miles of cross-country skiing, sledging and tobogganing. You will also find a great number of ski schools, towing and chair lifts, and ski rentals.

The most wonderful ski resorts in Czech Republic can be found in the Giant Mountains. There both advanced skiers and beginners have a possibility to have great time during their ski vacation. The most popular cities among the skiers there are Pec pod Snezkou, Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Cerna Hora, Spindleruv Mlyn and Harrachov.
There is a special pass that is valid for skiers both in Pec pod Snezkou and in Cerna Hora. The Skiarena over there has got 20 km of slopes, 3 chair lifts and 22 lifts. There are also ski buses there that connect the two places.
Skiing in the Czech Republic is really great because nowhere else you will find such beautiful extensive cross-country routes as here. All cross-country trails are also perfectly signposted and frequently go across the ridges.
The Jizerske Mountains are famous for skiing. There are miles of groomed trails and annual “Jizerska 50” races held on the famous “Magistrale”.
Skiing in Czech Republic is also well suited for families. The Bohemian Forest also offers a relaxing environment, peace and unique nature. These are exactly the things needed for family vacation!
Sumava, Zadov, Spicak and Kramolín are the slopes that are varied from easy up to moderate complexity level. Experienced skiers would rather prefer skiing in winter on the mountain Spicak.
Besides, skiing in Czech Republic means relaxation. In the Ore Mountains and the Jeseniky Mountains there are relaxing hot springs that are surrounded by numerous slopes and trails.
Cervenohorske sedlo, the Klepacov area and the area Ramzova belong to the most famous ski areas in the Jeseniky Mountains.
