Currently, a number of international satellite channels are advertising Bulgarian tourism, where the emphasis is made also on ski vacation.

Currently Bansko is one of the most inexpensive ways to relax at the ski resorts of Europe. Standard set of services with a week's accommodation and ski passes will cost about 400-450 euros per person.

According to Chairman of Tourism Chamber of Bansko Yanka Rakhova current ski season in Bulgaria is going to be successful. At the same time, at the resort is not expected sharp rise in prices. The average cost of accommodation in hotels of Bansko will be 20-30 levs per night per person. For groups hotels are willing to make discounts for up to 10%.

Among the innovations that Bansko will offer tourists in the coming winter season are updated elevators, ski passes booking system, which would reduce the queues on the road, as well as additional security measures (compulsory wearing a helmet), which are designed to reduce injuries on the slopes.

This season Bansko expects traditionally large number of tourists from Russia. Among the relatively new tourist groups are tourists from Macedonia and Serbia. Tourists from these countries do not need a visa to enter Bulgaria.
