Vorarlberg Ski News

Vorarlberg is home to some of Austria’s best-known and most popular ski resorts. The region includes, among others, the Kleinwalsertal, Klostertal, Großes Walsertal, Laternsertal and Brandnertal valleys, as well as Montafon. One of Vorarlberg’s largest ski areas lies around the towns of Lech and Zürs. These two places are linked to the Tyrolean towns of St. Anton and St. Christoph, on the other side of the Arlberg. Montafon has a total of eight ski resorts that can hold their own on the international stage. While the smaller ski areas tend to be quieter, the larger ski centers also cater to partygoers. In Vorarlberg, you can enjoy either a quiet, relaxing ski holiday or an action-packed getaway full of adventure. Visitors to all of Vorarlberg’s ski areas can look forward to excellent regional cuisine and all kinds of culinary delights. Accommodation is available in a range of price categories, from family-run guesthouses and holiday apartments to comfortable hotels. Anyone who prefers seclusion and peace and quiet to the lively atmosphere of some ski resorts will find what they’re looking for in Vorarlberg. There are also plenty of small villages where you can simply glide down the slopes, far from groomed pistes and ski lifts. Bregenz is the capital of the state of Vorarlberg and also has some good pistes of its own. The city also offers a change of pace from the everyday routine of skiing.
