This family-friendly approach extends to the range of winter sports on offer in Liechtenstein’s ski region. Malbi Park is a paradise for children, with plenty of thoughtful details. The sun terraces, the “malbi-rondo” ski carousel and other special features put visitors in a good mood and provide the perfect introduction to skiing and snowboarding. A special highlight is winter trekking with huskies. To join these husky trekking tours near Steg, simply register informally with the information offices, your hosts or the Liechtenstein Hotel. The Valüna Valley has more than 15 km of groomed cross-country trails, making it a perfect destination for exploring on foot. You can enjoy tobogganing on both the Turna-Malburn toboggan run and the natural toboggan run near Sücka-Steg. Downhill skiing fans are drawn to the slopes in Liechtenstein’s ski region, less than a 20-minute drive from Vaduz. At an altitude of 1,600 metres, around 23 km of well-groomed slopes are regularly covered with artificial snow. Alpine atmosphere and wonderful panoramic views come as standard. Two four-person chairlifts and a heated six-person chairlift take you back up the mountain.
