Andorra Ski News
When people think of a ski holiday, the country of Andorra is probably the last place that comes to mind. Nevertheless, Andorra has several excellent ski resorts that are every bit as good as those in Switzerland or Austria.
Grand Valira ski resort
Grand Valira is even the largest ski resort in southern Europe, having been created in 2005 by the merger of the Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Encamp, El Tarter and Soldeu ski resorts. This resort is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders, with numerous slopes and halfpipes for different ability levels. The lift facilities for a ski holiday in Andorra are very modern and state-of-the-art. From November to May, you can enjoy winter sports here in the Pyrenees, at an average altitude of 2,000 metres.

Vallnord ski resort
Another important ski resort in Andorra is Vallnord, which is located on the other side of the Pyrenees. Vallnord consists of two ski areas connected by a cable car: Pal and Arinsal. Arinsal has slopes that are particularly suitable for beginners, while you can enjoy wonderful descents through wooded areas in Arinsal. The Ordino Arcalís ski resort is also part of Vallnord, but is not connected to the other two areas.
Duty-free Andorra
Andorra is also a real shopping paradise, as you can shop duty-free in this small country. This advantage also makes Andorra an ideal destination for a ski holiday. Away from the slopes, leisure facilities such as thermal baths and ice rinks attract tourists. If you are interested in news from Andorra's ski resorts, you've come to the right place.
