South Hackensack Township: Urban Air and Veterans Park

South Hackensack Township offers three distinct options to consider when planning your stay: indoor attractions at Urban Air, a fenced-in play area in Veterans Park, and the annual Oktoberfest. These provide different focal points to choose from: active fun together, a visit to the park, or an event date. Which ones matter to you depends on whether you want to include activities for children, a shared play experience, or a specific date in your travel plans.

Indoor Activities at Urban Air

Urban Air in South Hackensack offers a Warrior Course, virtual reality, an indoor playground, and trampoline dodgeball. Families can jump, climb, run, float, and play together there. The activities offer different experiences: the Warrior Course and trampoline dodgeball focus on physical activity, while virtual reality and the play area offer other options. This is a practical distinction for groups, since shared leisure time doesn’t have to be centered on a single type of activity. Before visiting, consider which option is the priority for your group. If a particular attraction area is important, check the latest information in advance, as the selection may change.

Play Area and Park Features

The Joseph Baeli Memorial Playground in Veterans Park in South Hackensack is a fenced-in play area with equipment for children. The fence marks off a clearly defined area, and the equipment is intended for children. Check the latest conditions before your visit, as operational details may change.

Previous improvements to Veterans Park included building a new splash area for children and a restroom building, adding a new seating area, and redesigning the paths. Other additions included a decorative entrance arch, decorative LED lighting along the paths, and a community garden. These past improvements ranged from the splash area to paths, lighting, and community gardening; they also included amenities for a park visit.

Oktoberfest and Planning Your Dates

According to the township, Oktoberfest takes place annually. Dates and event details may change; if you want to plan your trip around the festival, check the date for your travel year. This makes planning for the festival different from visiting Urban Air: the selection of attractions there may change, while the specific event date is what matters for Oktoberfest.

What to Consider When Planning Your Stay

These are different considerations for planning your trip: Urban Air combines several indoor activities with a changing selection of attractions, while the specific event date is the main consideration for the annual Oktoberfest. If you’re traveling on fixed dates, check the current selection or event date. The play area in Veterans Park, meanwhile, is a specifically named area for children, while other features come from past park improvements. This lets you consider activities, a park visit, and an event date separately in relation to your travel dates.
