Winter
In winter, Pralong offers cross-country skiing. The Pralong snowshoe trail is laid out as a 2.5-kilometre circular route and takes around one hour to one hour and 15 minutes. It is suitable for families or beginners.
In addition, an easy snowshoe route begins in Pralong, reaches Tsipis, follows the Dixence River and leads into the forest. The animal tracks trail runs from Pralong to Novelli through snow-covered forest. Sixteen information panels describe the tracks of wild animals in the snow.
Other winter activities in Pralong include mushing and encounters with polar dogs. An artificial icefall is located along the Dixence River in Pralong near Tsippis. This icefall is 15 metres high and intended for beginners and those making their first ascent.

Nature
Pralong lies at the foot of the Grande Dixence dam. The village includes a wide, snow-covered plateau with individual chalets and snow-covered fir forest. At Pralong, the Dixence flows through polar winter landscapes.
The road ends in Pralong. The animal tracks trail begins at the Pralong car park beside the Dixence River, before the road bridge towards Grande Dixence.
Culture
The chapel of Pralong was built in 1929 and dedicated to Saint Bartholomew. Associated with it are the annual shepherds’ gathering held on 24 August and a Mass on Ascension Thursday.
Historically, Pralong was a summer resort. In the 1900s, the Hôtel du Mont-Pleureur had 30 rooms.
