Surroundings and history
Historically, the Riederalp area consisted of three alpine pastures: Riederalp, Greicheralp, and Goppisbergeralp. These were connected to the hillside villages of Ried, Greich, and Goppisberg.
Further activities
In summer, Riederalp is considered a starting point for hikers and bikers. A suspension bridge opened in summer 2008 connects Riederalp with Belalp. Riederalp also has a nine-hole golf course, which is considered the highest golf course in Europe.
