Nature
A walk from Grenchen begins in an urban setting, increasingly leads into a natural environment and onward to a Jura fold with extensive views. Hiking trails lead to the Bettlachberg mountain restaurant.
A route from the mountain station of the Weissenstein cable car leads to the viewpoints Röti and Balmfluechöpfli and then through the forest to the Nesselboden middle station. BLN Weissenstein is assigned to Lebern as a viewpoint.

The Lebern district is a district in the canton of Solothurn; its capital is Grenchen. It connects Grenchen and its surrounding area, parts of the area surrounding Solothurn, as well as rural municipalities in the eastern part of the district.

History
From 1798 to 1831, Lebern was part of the former Biberist district and has existed as an independent district since 1831.
