Oberiberg is located in the Schwyz district of the canton of Schwyz on Ibergereggstrasse between Einsiedeln and Schwyz.

History and Culture
The history of Oberiberg includes medieval and alpine farming aspects. Muotathal Abbey is located in the surrounding area. Further afield in the region are Rapperswil Abbey, St. Adelrich Church and the Männedorf otter enclosure.
Nature and Trails
A 9.7-kilometre circular trail to Furggelenstock leads to views of peaks in Central Switzerland and alpine meadows. The hiking route through the Ibergeregg moor forests describes them as rare and endangered habitats. Ibergeregg was named Landscape of the Year in 2019.
