Culture

The present old chapel in Stalden was founded on 8 May 1702. The nave was extended by one third in 1866. The redesign and new construction of the church in 1975 and 1976 are associated with the Sarnen architect Paul Dillier. The Wolfengel and Mattacher chapels are considered places to linger.

At the Passhöchi Beizli, Älpler coffee, evening platters and cheese specialities are among the offerings.

Activities

The Stalden Vitaparcours is a 1.59-kilometre circular route for jogging and starts at the Stalden sports field. The exercises train mobility, strength or endurance. The course also includes exercises on rings and parallel bars.

Routes and surroundings

You can reach the Vitaparcours by car from the A8 via Sarnen Nord. Follow the signs to Stalden and Glaubenberg, then turn towards the sports field after Stalden. By train, travel to Sarnen; the connection then continues by PostBus to Stalden, Sportplatz.

The Entlebuch Passes Route leads from Sarnen uphill via Stalden to Glaubenberg. The Glaubenberg moorland lies in the wider regional surroundings of Stalden and is part of the Federal Inventory of Mire Landscapes of Particular Beauty and of National Importance.
