Enges is situated at an altitude of 816 metres above sea level, approximately 9 km northeast of Neuchâtel as the crow flies. The village is located on a promontory and in a south-facing hollow on the southern slope of the Jura, high above the Swiss Plateau.

Location and Landscape
The municipality of Enges includes the residential district of Brisecou, the hamlet of Lordel at an altitude of 912 metres, and several individual farms.
Townscape and Development
Until the beginning of the 1980s, Enges was primarily agricultural. After that, the village developed into a residential community.
