History and townscape
The military fortification at Crap Sogn Barcazi was built during the Second World War and can be visited today. Guided tours of the Sperre Trin Fortress Museum include the rock fortifications in Crap Sogn Barcazi and Crap Pign, which are connected by a staircase system, as well as the Porclas Nord, West, and Strasse bunkers from the outside and the kitchen of the Fortress Guard Corps FWK.
The historic road to the Surselva region led through Digg, where there was a customs post and a market square. From Digg, it led through meadows and fields to Pintrun and onward via Conn to Sagogn. In Trin Digg, old stone houses and their barns are arranged in small groups around the village square due to special building regulations.
Hiking
The challenging Ruinaulta Sut hike begins in the mountain village of Trin Digg, leads via Ransun down into the Rhine Gorge and to the Islabord viewpoint, from which there is a view over the Rhine Gorge. As a circular route, it runs from Trin Digg via Versam/Safien railway station, Versam Islabord, and Trin railway station back to Trin Digg.
Routes
The Trin Digg–Lake Crestasee route is also suitable as an e-bike route for beginners and families with bicycle trailers for children. On the route, you pass the Sperre Trin Fortress Museum in Trin Digg before a short ascent leads to Lake Crestasee.
Surroundings
Paspels Castle and Rietberg Castle are castles in the surroundings of Digg. Mutta Sura is a peak in the immediate vicinity of Digg. The peaks Piz Mirutta, Taminser Calanda, and Panärahörner are also located in the surroundings of Digg.
The Chur Animal and Leisure Park is a zoo in the surroundings of Digg. Falkenstein Ruin is a ruin in the wider regional area around Digg.
