Corbières offers views of two distinct sides of the village: Lac de La Gruyère and the Fribourg Pre-Alps. This makes it possible to consider natural and cultural attractions separately when planning and then combine them.

Landscape

The Sentier du Lac de La Gruyère is a 44-kilometre hike along the lakeshore. The trail passes through a landscape featuring farms and poyas typical of La Gruyère before reaching Corbières. The complete trail is officially open to the public, except for the section between Le Bry and Rossens.

The hiking route ending in Corbières runs from Rossens via La Roche and Hauteville; this route is called the Sentier du Lac de La Gruyère. In nearby Pont-la-Ville, the trail offers views of Lac de La Gruyère, the Fribourg Pre-Alps and Gibloux. Different routes and directions make it possible to compare the desired tour in advance.

Water

Below the church of Corbières lies La Montagnetta beach, with picnic tables and barbecue areas. Aventure Gruyère has a base in Corbières and offers canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard and boat rentals on Lac de La Gruyère. Aventure Gruyère also offers treasure hunts and photo rallies there.

Trails

The Corbières–Solitou hiking route is marked with yellow directional signs from the village centre to the summit of Le Solitou. From Le Solitou, you can follow the route northwards to the La Berra station. Southwards, it leads over Vanil des Cours to Mont Bifé. This provides several connections in different directions via named high points, without turning them into a single route.

On the VTT tour towards La Berra, the descent to Corbières is wet and difficult in places. Caution is also required on the VTT tour of Vanil des Cours when descending towards Corbières.

Culture

The historic centre of Corbières is part of the national inventory of protected townscapes. The parish church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité has a choir and nave dating from the 13th or 14th century, as well as a bell-tower porch from 1789.

The Château de Corbières was built at its present location at the beginning of the 14th century and remodelled in 1560. It is still in very good condition and is one of the cultural assets protected by the canton. The present concrete Pont de Corbières bridge was built in 1931. The townscape is complemented by the wooden sculpture La Géante La Catillon, created in Corbières in summer 2024.
