Hiking

Five signposted routes explore the surrounding area: “The Refreshing” runs between Chrattiggraben and the lake, is 5.7 kilometres long and takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. “The Relaxed” leads over 3 kilometres to Oertlimatt in about 1 hour. “The Easygoing” leads over 2.3 kilometres to Büel in about 40 minutes. “The Rural” runs for 4 kilometres to Stuelegg in about 1 hour. “The Mystical” follows the route between Viertel and Hellboden, covers 6.8 kilometres and takes about 2 hours 10 minutes.

The Lake Thun Panorama Trail is a multi-day tour through the Bernese Oberland featuring views of the lake and mountains, historic sites and caves.

Lake and Trails

The Lido lakeside swimming area offers the opportunity to swim in Lake Thun. The swimming area includes a large sunbathing lawn and a jetty. Admission is free; however, the bathing facilities are unsupervised.

The wide, sunny paths in Krattigen are considered suitable for Nordic walking as well as excursions with children or groups. E-bike excursions are also among the outdoor activities associated with Krattigen.

Culture

The Krattigen Sculpture Trail begins about a 15-minute walk from the village of Krattigen and is signposted. Its artistic character is shaped by the commitment of local residents and regional artists.
