Coloretta is a settlement at an elevation of 680 m, stretching below the village of Castello along a gently hilly slope between the Gordana and Dorgiola streams. To the northwest, the steep, wooded slope of Monte Favà rises to over 950 m. Castello, Gordana, Dorgiola and Monte Favà serve as distinct spatial reference points for orientation around Coloretta.

Historic Buildings in Coloretta

In Coloretta, visitors can admire Villa Quiligotti. Villa Quiligotti is a historic courtyard house. The courtyard is paved with sandstone slabs. The living floor on the first story is accessed via a loggia with an external staircase.

The historic center of Coloretta forms the heart of the village. The Church of San Rocco in Coloretta has a plastered façade facing a small square. In a niche behind the choir of the Church of San Rocco is a valuable 17th-century marble sculpture of the Madonna di Loreto. The Oratorio di San Rocco in Coloretta was elevated to an independent parish in 1920. From the outside, the façade faces the small square; the sculpture, however, is located behind the choir.
