In the area of Tar in the Western Mátra, Szakadás-árok is a wooded gorge that opens from the Csevice Valley. Its rock walls are covered with moss; large boulders lie in the gorge bed, and a seasonal watercourse also runs there.

From Tar, access follows the blue-marked cross trail through the Csevice Valley. After the Felső-Csevice Spring, follow the marked trail for about 300 meters, then turn onto an unmarked forest road and follow a path to the gorge.

There are no tourist trail markings within Szakadás-árok. The gorge can be incorporated into several routes.
