Pertouli combines a ski center with hiking trails, mountain scenery and village festivals. If you are considering the village for a ski holiday, its marked slopes and lifts provide a concrete basis for comparison. At the same time, trails and cultural events offer further ways to plan your stay.

Pertouli Ski Center: Slopes and Lifts

The ski center is located in the Pertouli Meadows among fir trees. Its facilities and slopes are on the gentle flysch slopes of the Pindus and on alluvial deposits of the Pertouli stream. The ski center is considered suitable for experienced and inexperienced skiers alike; the stated lengths clearly distinguish the three slopes.

The red run is 1,500 meters long, the blue run 400 meters, and the green practice slope 80 meters. This allows you to compare the slopes by length without treating the different runs as a single uniform offering. The ski center also has a 1,170-meter two-seater chairlift, a 350-meter drag lift and a 60-meter children's conveyor lift. Before your visit, it is worth checking the current operating status of the slopes and lifts.

When looking for a ski hotel in Pertouli, you can consider what you would like to focus on during your stay: skiing at the ski center, walking excursions, or time at the village festivals.

Hiking Trails and Destinations

Hiking trail 222 starts at Pertouli's highest point, near Zacharaiika. A narrow, gradually ascending path leads through dense fir forest to Mana Gorge in less than one kilometer. There are beautiful views, as well as opportunities for birdwatching and gathering herbs. Check local conditions before hiking.

Another hiking trail in the immediate area is trail 221. It also starts at the village's highest point, near Zacharaiika, and leads over the slopes of Neraida through the Pertouli Forest to Paliokopri. The two trails have different destinations: trail 222 ends at Mana Gorge, while trail 221 leads to Paliokopri.

The “Crossing the Pindus I” route climbs to the plateau of the Pertouli Meadows and passes the historic chapel of Agia Kyriaki in Pertouli. Visitors can also explore the Koziakas mountain range by bicycle, along its winding paths and forest roads. So, besides the ski center, there are destinations for hiking and cycling in the area around the village.

Village Festivals and Churches

The usual festival dates in Pertouli listed by the municipality include the festival of Agia Kyriaki on July 6 and 7, the Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ on August 5 and 6, and the Feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary on August 14 and 15. At the festival events, the program begins with a church service, where meat, pies and dairy products are offered in particular. It ends with a communal celebration attended by those present and traditional folk music groups. A beekeepers' festival is also held at the Church of Agia Kyriaki in June.

The churches also provide the village with specific historical and scenic points of reference. The Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary of Pertouli stands at the entrance to Pertouli. It was built in the mid-20th century to a design by architect Dimitris Pikionis. The small white chapel of the Holy Apostles is set in the green landscape near Pertouli; when it snows, it is surrounded by snow.
