Around Atzelgift runs the certified Wäller Tour “Bachgeflüster”. The Atzelgift Mill is a historic mill site. Its residential building dates from 1908, while the brick mill building was rebuilt after a fire in 1949. The mill operated until 1965; its water power continues to generate electricity there.

The Atzelgift Forest Chapel is a simple half-timbered chapel built in 1996 to mark the 600th anniversary of the village. There used to be an entrance to an Adolf ore adit nearby. The chapel is described as a peaceful place for walkers, hikers and visitors.
