Public spaces and local history offer further, varied subjects. Oscar under broen was built entirely from local scrap metal and recycled materials in 2016. Vildtbanesten is a protected national monument. Christian VII had it erected in 1775 to mark the royal hunting monopoly. These two places represent different forms of cultural interest: one is a work made from reused materials, while the other is a monument with a specific historical purpose.

Older history is also present in Ishøj. The grave of Fyrsten fra Ishøj dates from the Roman Iron Age and is approximately 1,725 years old. Fyrsten fra Ishøj is exhibited in the Bredekærgård farmhouse. Bredekærgård also offers encounters with animals and nature-based play opportunities. A visit can therefore be combined with a family programme without turning the archaeological exhibition and nature offering into one single subject.
