French Pyrenees
Ski areas are spread along the French Pyrenees, from the Atlantic side towards the borders with Spain and Andorra. Start by choosing a valley and base: Tourmalet, Saint-Lary, Cauterets, Font-Romeu and Les Angles are separate destinations, not places to combine casually in one ski day.
Choose the right valley base
Before booking, compare the drive to the lifts, Nordic trails or winter walks you want to use. Elevation, slope aspect and weather affect operations, so check snow, road and lift updates with the chosen resort. A single base is usually easier than changing villages every day.
