Last-Minute Ski Holidays February 2011
If you can set off on a ski holiday at short notice, ski tour operators have last-minute bargains waiting for you. Remaining places and hotel allocations that have not yet sold out are offered at reduced prices to those booking at short notice. However, you need to distinguish between low prices and last-minute offers: even for ski holidays, genuine last-minute trips are only those departing within the next 14 days and priced at least a few percent below the regular brochure price. For ski deals that are further in the future, the terms “last minute and more” or “special offer” are used. Not everything commonly referred to as “last minute” carries the same label among travel professionals.
Last-Minute Ski Holidays February 2011

For the coming weeks, ski tour operator Snowtrex is offering some significantly reduced last-minute deals and special prices for Austria and France. For example, if you can arrive on 26 February, you can find steeply discounted last-minute ski deals for Flachau, Kitzbühel and Sölden. You can save €80 off the brochure price at the Sieglhub Hotel in Flachau, for example, when staying in a double room with half board and a six-day ski pass for “Ski Amadé” included. A Snowtrex last-minute deal for Sölden saves you a substantial €120 per person in a five-person apartment without meals. Last-minute ski holiday deals are also available for Kitzbühel and Flirsch (Austria), La Plagne, Les 2 Alpes and Valmeinier in France, and the famous Italian ski resort of Livigno. Interestingly, there are still places available in major, renowned ski resorts such as Sölden and Livigno, so skiers with flexible schedules can find genuine bargains.
The latest last-minute ski holiday deals for Sölden, Kitzbühel and elsewhere, as well as special offers, can be found here on skiurlaub-infos.de under Last-Minute Ski Holidays on the Snowtrex website.
The same rule applies to last-minute ski deals as to regular package holidays: first come, first served. Naturally, these offers are subject to availability, and once all available places have been booked, the last-minute ski deals are sold out too…
