WDR4 Schlager-Express in Winterberg
The WDR4 Schlager-Express stops in Winterberg on 19 February 2011. Schlager legends including Bernhard Brink, Mary Roos, Jürgen Marcus, Tom Astor, Andrea Jürgens, Graham Bonney, Michael Morgan, Dorfrocker, Antonia aus Tirol and Tim Toupet will perform at the WDR4 live broadcast from the Sahnehang, hosted by Rainer Nitschke and Stefan Verhasselt from 12 noon to 3 pm. Although the Schlager-Express itself has been fully booked for some time, Schlager fans can look forward to the live event in Winterberg: the concert at the Sahnehang is open to the public, and admission is free.
Winterberg’s Sahnehang is getting ready for a party on the slopes: on 19 February 2011, from 12 noon to 3 pm, a Schlager festival will be broadcast live from here on WDR4. The Schlager-Express is stopping in the Sauerland region. Stars of the Schlager scene will present their new albums at the venue next to the Köhlerhütte on Sahnehang. Look forward to Bernhard Brink performing new songs from his album “So oder so,” Mary Roos giving us a taste of her album “Gezeiten,” and Jürgen Marcus returning to the Schlager stage with his new album “Für immer.” The other Schlager stars—the Sauerland country legend Tom Astor, Andrea Jürgens, Graham Bonney, Dorfrocker, Antonia aus Tirol and Tim Toupet—will also perform old and new songs to get everyone in the mood. The live Schlager-Express broadcast will be hosted by well-known WDR4 presenters: Stefan Verhasselt and Rainer Nitschke will further fire up the atmosphere at the open-air live show.

The Schlager-Express concert in Winterberg is open to the public, and admission to the Schlager spectacular is free. If you arrive by car, park at Remmeswiese and take the park-and-ride shuttle to the venue at the Sahnehang. Parking is not available at the event site itself. If using a navigation system, enter “Remmeswiese, 59955 Winterberg.” On 19 February 2011, the L 640 between the Kahler Asten junction (L 540) and Altastenberg will be completely closed from 8 am until approximately 6 pm. Regular bus services, including the Astenexpress ski bus, will run as scheduled.
Of course, you can enjoy the live event not only in snowy Winterberg but also simply by tuning in to WDR4 on the radio—but a personal visit to the open-air live broadcast at the Sahnehang is certainly worth considering.
