Ski and Golf Competition in Bad Gastein

The winter sports and spa resort of Bad Gastein lies at the foot of the Graukogel in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Every year at the end of April, marking the close of the ski season and the start of the summer season, Bad Gastein hosts its traditional Ski and Golf Competition, organised jointly by the Europäischer Hof Hotel and the Bad Gastein Golf Club. The dates for the 2009 Ski and Golf Competition in Bad Gastein have been set for the weekend of 24–26 April for some time.

The competition combines alpine skiing and golf. On 25 April (Saturday), participants must complete a giant slalom not only without mistakes but, above all, as quickly as possible, to secure a good starting position for Sunday's round of golf. Friday is set aside as a training day, giving participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the local conditions in Bad Gastein. Alongside numerous celebrities, particularly former skiing champions, who will add to the field at the Ski and Golf Competition in Bad Gastein, the event in Austria is also open to amateur athletes.

For the Ski and Golf Competition in Bad Gastein, the Europäischer Hof Hotel is offering a special weekend package for €305 per person. The package includes, among other things: two nights at the Europäischer Hof Hotel (double room), breakfast buffet, entry fee, golf course fees (green fee) and cable car access on all three days, a surprise gift, a welcome drink and a closing dinner in the hotel ballroom.
