Great value for money at the Zieleniec ski resort
The Zieleniec ski resort in Poland is, after Zakopane and Szczyrk, one of the country's best-known and finest winter sports destinations. In recent years in particular, a lot has changed at the Zieleniec ski resort in Poland, so skiing there is not only very affordable but also meets the expectations of tourists who would otherwise tend to ski in the Alps. Zieleniec is located in the Sudetes and is therefore very easy for German winter tourists to reach, too. Berlin, for example, is only about 450 kilometres from Zieleniec.
Accommodation is available either right in Zieleniec or in the smaller towns in the surrounding area. In the spa town of Duszniki Zdrój, about eight kilometres from the slopes of the Zieleniec ski resort, a night in a double room costs the equivalent of less than 10 euros. Similarly low prices apply at the Zieleniec ski resort in Poland for ski lessons and ski and snowboard rentals. A private ski lesson often costs between 15 and 20 euros per hour—a price that is almost impossible to beat. At the local ski rental shop in Zieleniec, the daily fee is between 10 and 12 euros.
The Zieleniec ski resort in the Polish Sudetes still has some catching up to do when it comes to childcare. Full-day services of the kind customary in the Alps are not yet available at the Zieleniec ski resort. Overall, however, the quality of the facilities there can be described as very satisfactory, and the value for money as excellent.
