Sick Trick Tour ends in Kitzbühel

The Sick Trick Tour, held annually mainly in Austria, is one of the most important events for fans of snowboarding and the freeski scene. Accordingly, the grand finale of the Sick Trick Tour 2009 will take place over the long weekend of February 20–23 against a fitting backdrop in the upscale Austrian ski resort of Kitzbühel.

Along with fame and glory, the prestigious event in Kitzbühel is also about qualifying for the Austrian Masters. A wildcard awaits the top ten snowboarders in each category, guaranteeing them a place at every event in the Austrian Masters series. Wildcard allocation depends not just on the results of the event in Kitzbühel, but above all on the final standings in the overall Sick Trick Tour 2009 rankings, with valuable points still up for grabs at the Kitzbühel finale. The rider with the most points accumulated across all the tour events can call themselves the “Sickest Tricker” for a year and will receive a large share of the €15,000 prize pool awarded during the Sick Trick Tour 2009.

Snowboarders and freeski athletes, along with musical guests and various ski-acrobatics shows, will provide the right atmosphere in the contest area in Kitzbühel, which regularly turns into a small cauldron of excitement during the event.
