Nissan Outdoor Games in Chamonix

The Nissan Outdoor Games will take place in Chamonix from February 14–21, 2009. This is an event that calls for both athletic and filmmaking or photography talent. Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in France, provides the perfect backdrop in every respect for the Nissan Outdoor Games in Chamonix. The organizers expect a total of five teams from several countries to take part in the casting in the French Alps. Each team consists of extreme sports athletes and photographers, each responsible for their own part.

The task at the Nissan Outdoor Games in Chamonix is to present a short film showcasing the sports of mountaineering, base jumping / wingsuit flying, paragliding / hang gliding, skiing and snowboarding. The film may be no longer than five minutes, which certainly does not make an already challenging task any easier.

Filming is scheduled to take place between February 14 and 20. Just one day later, a jury of media and sports experts will announce the winners of the Nissan Outdoor Games in Chamonix. Along with fame and glory, the winning team will receive the so-called “Golden Peak,” awarded at the Nissan Outdoor Games in Chamonix. After the award ceremony, the best performances will be shown to the public on a large screen.
