New trail map for the Gersfeld ski region published
The Gersfeld ski region, located in eastern Hesse, has published a new trail map with up-to-date information about cross-country skiing in and around Gersfeld, just in time for the start of this year’s ski season. In recent years, Gersfeld has made a name for itself particularly among cross-country skiing enthusiasts and is considered one of the most popular and snow-sure destinations north of the Alps. The Gersfeld ski region trail map is available, among other places, on the ski resort’s website, which also provides further helpful information about Gersfeld.
Norbert Filke, head of the Gersfeld Tourist Information Office, which publishes the trail map, describes the advantages of the revised brochure, highlighting in particular its clear diagrams, which accurately show the uphill and downhill profiles of the trails around Gersfeld. In addition, the Gersfeld trail guide contains a complete overview map showing all cross-country trails certified by the German Ski Association (DSV). The wealth of information in the trail map, which is also ideal for taking along thanks to its pocket-sized format, is rounded out with helpful cross-country skiing tips.
All trails in Gersfeld start and finish at Haus am Roten Moor, which has become a popular meeting place for cross-country skiers in the region. Along with a varied menu, Haus am Roten Moor in Gersfeld also offers a limited number of overnight accommodations.
