Ischgl named the best après-ski destination

What Mallorca is for partygoers in summer, Ischgl in Austria is in winter during ski season. Ski huts, clubs, bars and nightclubs, along with the best DJs, make Ischgl the ultimate party destination, renowned well beyond Austria’s borders. This is also the conclusion reached by the jury of an online portal that selects Austria’s best après-ski destinations every year. Ischgl confidently held on to its top position from the previous year, ahead of Saalbach-Hinterklemm and St. Anton am Arlberg, which finished in second and third place. So in Ischgl, the fun doesn’t stop when you come off the ski slopes—in fact, that’s when it really begins.

The jury was particularly impressed by the ski parties in Saalbach-Hinterklemm, thanks in part to their central location in the heart of Saalbach. From the ski slopes, you can ski straight down to the doors of the region’s trendiest party venues. Another advantage of après-ski in Saalbach-Hinterklemm is that the parties start early. The well-known huts and bars are already filling up around lunchtime, and people often party there until the early hours of the morning.

St. Anton am Arlberg is especially popular with singles and celebrities, making it one of Austria’s most exclusive après-ski destinations. St. Anton am Arlberg’s nightlife offers the perfect setting to combine great music, partying, lifestyle and flirting. One small drawback is St. Anton’s high prices, which is why the jewel of the Arlberg had to settle for “only” third place among Austria’s après-ski destinations.
