Thousands of visitors watch the races featuring champions, celebrities and pros. The drivers battle it out on powerful 75-horsepower snowmobiles. The course, with its steeply banked turns, guarantees plenty of action and excitement.
Of course, plenty of parties will accompany the competitions once again. These include the Eldel-HeiĂź party at the Alpine Palace, and the After Race Party on December 7, following the final and awards ceremony at the unique Power Station. On December 8, the Hervis ski test takes place from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At last, the ski season can begin in the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang ski circus. The slopes on Bernkogel, Reiterkogel, Kohlmaiskopf and Schattberg are ready to welcome skiers. Perfect practice slopes for beginners and children can be found on the lower western side of Schattberg.
The fun park between the practice lifts is ideal for freestylers. It has plenty of rails, kickers and boxes. The Leogang fun park on the big Asitz may be smaller, but it offers lots of sunshine, great music and plenty of space for big airs.
The slopes on Zwölferkogel have plenty to offer skiers, including the perfectly groomed World Championships slope and World Cup course. Carvers will also love the wide runs. The extra-wide Bernkogel slopes are perfect for leisurely skiers. The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang ski circus has suitable slopes for every ability level.
The excellent après-ski scene is another highlight. The Hinterhagalm, especially, is very popular for its live music. The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang ski circus is also a ski paradise for families with children. The region is very child-friendly, with perfect beginner slopes set amid stunning natural scenery. For example, there are slopes by the Asitzbahn valley station and the upper station of the 8-person gondola. One of the most beautiful ski circus runs to the Asitzbahn mid-station starts here, too. That means all skiers—young and old—are sure to have a great time.
