Ski holiday at Forest Christmas in the Wilder Kaiser

At Forest Christmas, the Wilder Kaiser becomes a romantic and peaceful place. Enjoy fantastic torchlight walks through the shimmering snow, or take a stroll around the Christmas market and enjoy a glass of Tyrolean punch. This is how Forest Christmas is celebrated in Söll at the Wilder Kaiser from December 8 (from 8 p.m.) to 11, 2008. Christmas concerts also help you quickly forget the pre-Christmas rush. Before long, you’ll be in the Christmas spirit.

The Wilder Kaiser and the Zahmer Kaiser form the Kaiser Mountains in Tyrol. They lie between Kufstein and St. Johann. All the peaks of the Kaiser Mountains are within the 102 km² nature reserve. It is also a true ski holiday paradise, reaching an altitude of 2,344 m (Ellmauer Halt). The ski resorts of Ellmau, Ebbs, Going, Kufstein, St. Johann, Scheffau and Kirchdorf are also part of the region.

There is just one man-made ascent facility: the chairlift to Brentenjoch. No other ski lifts have been installed because of the nature reserve. Nature comes first at the Wilder Kaiser, along with the chance for people to relax in this natural paradise. Families with children are very welcome. Thanks to Tyrolean hospitality in wonderfully cosy mountain villages, ski holidaymakers soon feel at home—at home in a winter wonderland.

There are 279 km of snow-reliable slopes for ski holidaymakers to enjoy. There’s also a solar-powered lift, night skiing, plenty of events and great-value offers. For example, Ladies’ Ski Day runs every Wednesday from January 7, 2009, until the end of the season. Women can then get lift passes at the children’s rate!

But a ski holiday at the Wilder Kaiser is worthwhile for everyone, not just the ladies—especially during Forest Christmas.
