The winter season can begin, as Frau Holle has distributed her snowflakes generously. While golden autumn is still painting its colours in other ski resorts, the Alpine resort of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl already looks like a white winter fairy tale.

There is plenty of celebrating in the southern Ötztal: the start of the ski season is marked by parties on three weekends! “Premiere in the Snow” offers an exclusive programme to kick off the ski holiday season. Live music and acrobatic shows enchant the guests. From around noon, the celebrations take place at Hohe Mut Alm, Top Mountain Star, Nederhütte and Festkogl.

At the Winter Palace in Obergurgl, the “Cirque des Montagnes” presents acrobatics of the highest calibre on November 21, 22, 28 and 29, 2008. Winter magic filled with emotion and passion for “Premiere in the Snow”.

The first eco-friendly motocross race also gets underway on November 28 (Friday). The “Moto & Freestyle Nightshow” starts at around 8 p.m. at the Gaisberg Arena in Obergurgl.

257 km of pistes and 67 ski lifts await holidaymakers in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl. The panoramic view from the 2,670 m-high vantage point of “Hohe Mut” is overwhelming. 21 majestic glaciers over 3,000 metres high provide a fantastic backdrop. At the 3,080 m-high “Top Mountain Star”, with its panoramic bar, you can go even higher.
