Kaprun between golden autumn and glacier slopes

The small ski resort of Kaprun has just under 3,000 residents. Together with nearby Zell am See, Kaprun forms a wonderful skiing paradise in the Salzburg region. The resort is very popular with ski holidaymakers, as it offers a wide range of winter sports. Snowboarders and alpine skiers are drawn here, as are fans of cross-country skiing. You can also try snow rafting, carving, skating on a natural ice rink, and tobogganing in Kaprun.

The ski slopes offer suitable runs for all ability levels, for both young and old fans of the white stuff. Children are very welcome in the Kaprun ski area. There are also special toboggan runs for kids. When adults want to hit the slopes on their own, the childcare service in Kaprun is sure to come in handy.

Night owls are also well catered for. Kaprun’s lively après-ski scene offers plenty of ways to party. Many alpine pastures, rustic ski huts, and inns welcome ski holidaymakers with great events. With live music and a lively atmosphere, no one is likely to be left on their own. Singles can easily make connections, especially at “Crazy Daisy” and “B17.”

Right now, ski holidaymakers in Kaprun are enjoying golden autumn and snow-white glacier slopes. In the morning, you can go on a bike ride through the autumn forest. Then, at midday, head up to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. At 3,203 m high, the Kitzsteinhorn offers snowboarders a dream paradise. The Mellow Park opens up new dimensions for snowboard fans across around 30,000 square kilometers. They can really let off steam here.

The Kitzsteinhorn Winter Opening takes place from November 8 to 9: Under the motto “Get white – get started,” the Kitzsteinhorn celebrates the start of the 2008/2009 winter season that November weekend.
