Stanglwirt invites guests to a Weißwurst party during their ski holiday

The Biohotel Stanglwirt is already gearing up for the Weißwurst Party in Going, Tyrol. In about three months, the time will come around again. On January 23, 2008, the Stanglwirt’s traditional party will take place to coincide with the 18th Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm downhill race. Tickets are available for advance purchase now. But you’ll need to be quick, of course. These tickets are in high demand, and the number of guests admitted is limited to 2,000.

As always, the identity of the star guest is being kept secret. It will be a few weeks before they reveal which musical acts will be performing. Gloria Gaynor, Zucchero, No Angels, The Temptations and Chris de Burgh have all appeared in the past. One thing is already certain: the “Sumpfkröten” will get the party going in the wine tent. The famous cover band “Hermes House Band” will also get the party guests fired up.

Star chef Alfons Schuhbeck will take care of the guests’ culinary needs. This, too, has become a tradition, as have the champagne Weißwürste from the famous Bavarian master butcher Toni Holnburger.

Tickets cost around €99 or more. The price includes admission, Weißwürste with pretzels and the entertainment program. You can order the coveted tickets online at www.stanglwirt-weisswurstparty.com.

The ski area near Going is one of Austria’s most beautiful. The majestic Wilder Kaiser provides a spectacular backdrop. The charming village draws more than just celebrities for a ski holiday. Picturesque farmhouses and more than 70 rustic ski huts promise relaxing hours far from the stress of everyday life.

St. Johann and Ellmau are close by. From Going, you can ski down 250 kilometres of slopes for all ability levels. More than 180 km can be covered with artificial snow. Going offers many ways to stay active, including snowshoe hikes and torchlit walks. So Going is a great ski holiday destination even when the Stanglwirt isn’t hosting its Weißwurst Party!
