Free ski lessons for children
Child-friendly: In Tyrol, specifically in the Silberregion Karwendel, families with children are welcome as holiday guests. To ease the burden on holiday budgets, the Karwendel region offers something special: ski lessons for children are free, and even the equipment is provided at no cost. Families with children can also enjoy many other benefits during their holiday in the Tyrolean Karwendel: their host gives all guests the region’s “SILBERcard”, which offers free admission for the whole family to many sports and leisure facilities. In a press release, the Silberregion Karwendel / Tyrol Tourist Board announces the family-friendly arrangements for a ski holiday in Austria:

“This is how young holidaymakers in the Silberregion Karwendel/Tyrol can best learn to ski this coming winter: for free! Regardless of whether the family spends its winter holiday in a hotel, inn, guesthouse or holiday apartment, the 6-day ski course, including a lift pass for children aged 4–12, is free. Rental equipment is also included at no charge.

Guided by ski instructors specially trained to teach children, young guests enjoy a fun introduction to skiing every day for a week. Alongside the lessons, they can look forward to plenty of fun in the snow on magic carpets, in the Smurf Forest and on the Skidoo taxi. While the little ones are well cared for and playfully learn the art of skiing in their lessons alongside other young guests, the adults can make the most of the almost limitless winter sports on offer in the Silberregion Karwendel and nearby
Zillertal.

Of course, the Silberregion Karwendel/Tyrol also has exciting activities for parents and children to enjoy together. And they’re free, too! With the SILBERcard, which every guest receives from their host, you can go sledding and ice skating for free, visit the ski museum, explore the wildlife enclosure with knowledgeable guides or go snowshoeing.”
