Beginners and experienced skiers alike will find ideal runs here. This holiday paradise is only about an hour’s drive from Munich. Beginners will find ideal slopes at the Nordhang drag lift and in Brandtal. Little ski enthusiasts are in excellent hands at the ski kindergarten next to the Christlum Express station. The cross-country trail from Falzthurntal to Pertisau is particularly attractive. The slopes around Anderkirch and towards the Steinberger Seitental are also breathtakingly beautiful. The gondola takes skiers from Pertisau to the manageable Zwölferkopf ski area. Snowboarders will also find plenty to enjoy in the Pertisau ski area.

The landscape around Achensee is also very popular for summer holidays. It is a paradise for cyclists, with countless cycling routes around the lake and through the fascinating mountain scenery. And, of course, there are countless sports to enjoy in summer, from canyoning, hang gliding and paragliding to golf, rafting, horse riding, surfing and sailing.

From July 18 to August 9, tomorrow’s opera stars—professionals and emerging artists—will showcase their talents at Achensee. The Top Opera programme is being held at Achensee for the fourth time. Event dates at www.topopera.com.
