Bregenzerwald ski area: football and cooking events
The picturesque Bregenzerwald ski area lies between the Allgäu, Arlberg and Lake Constance. It is very popular with families on ski holidays. Families with children feel especially at home here. The sunny, fairly snow-reliable ski area is characterised by its cosy atmosphere.
But it is not just skiers who are drawn here. The Bregenzerwald also has cultural events to offer. The sporting highlight during the European Football Championship is the “public viewing”. Around 7,000 spectators can watch the matches in June on the lakeside stage in Bregenz. Johannes B. Kerner will also provide live commentary on the matches from the lakeside stage.

Popular star chefs Johann Lafer and Horst Lichter will also showcase their skills on the shores of Lake Constance. They will be bringing their cooking show to the lake in June. “Lafer, Lichter, Lecker” will be presented on the ZDF stage on 14 June 2008.
Around 5,000 spectators will be able to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the well-known cooking show live. And of course, nearly 2 million more will watch on television. The entertaining star chefs will appear on the lakeside stage on three Saturdays. Delicious four-course menus will be presented during the European Football Championship.
Celebrities including Rainer Calmund, Kim Fischer, Patrick Lindner and others are also expected. Preparing culinary delights, comedy and public screenings of the European Football Championship promise top entertainment—and treats that are easy to recreate at home. And, as always, the star chefs will share a few tricks from the world of fine dining.
