Dachstein invites you to a summer holiday at the ski resort

The Dachstein Glacier offers a world-class skiing center and, at the same time, a first-rate ski area for beginners. There is also plenty to discover on a summer holiday. Dachstein opens when others close! The Atomic Superpark is set to reopen on May 10, around three weeks earlier than planned. The snowpark on Dachstein is considered the best in the Alps and the largest in Europe. Freeskiers and snowboarders will soon be able to practise their daring jumps there again.

It is starting the season with an unusually deep snow base of 6.5 m. The Superpark has been shaped across a larger area, with a new three-feature medium line, new rails and a wall ride, as well as dedicated medium and beginner parks.

The Planai summer season was not due to start until May 30. But Dachstein has more highlights that are set to open as early as May 10:

- the Sky Walk viewing platform

- the Ice Palace inside the Dachstein Glacier

- the panoramic restaurant on Dachstein

- ideal slopes for beginners and leisure skiers

- approx. 18 km of cross-country ski trails

- the Seethalerhütte glacier hiking trail

The new Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card comes with many benefits. In only its second summer season, it ranks among Austria’s most successful and largest all-inclusive cards. It offers over 70 bonus services and more than 100 free holiday experiences. Summer holidaymakers are set to receive the Summer Card free of charge from just one night at participating hotels, guesthouses, etc. There is, of course, a separate card for the kids. During their summer holiday, guests are then meant to be able to use leisure facilities as often as they like, free of charge.

According to the organizers, free highlights with the Summer Card include:

- Dachstein Glacier cable car / Planai and Hochwurzen cable cars

- Schladming adventure pool

- donkey and horseback rides

- all-day childcare

- Gröbming children’s adventure park

- Nordic walking course

- public transport and local buses

- paragliding taster day
