Famous for its ski holidays, chic Kitzbühel offers an exclusive setting. Alongside the breathtaking Alpine roads, the social scene is another highlight of the rally.

This time, the route is planned to pass through the Dachstein, the Kaiser Mountains, the Loferer Steinberge, the Salzkammergut and the Tennengebirge. The Grossglockner has previously been the Alpine Rally Kitzbühel's crowning stage destination three times. For the main stage on 30 May, there are two route lengths to choose from, including one of approximately 230 km. Kitzbühel is to be the starting point for the main stage.

After St. Johann, Fieberbrunn, Waidring, Berchtesgaden, Bad Dürrnberg and the Salzburg Alpine foothills, there will be a lunch stop at Schloss Fuschl. After lunch, the route heads back via Faistenau, Krispl, St. Koloman and Grödig to Bad Reichenhall. The rally then follows the German Alpine Road via Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl back to Austria. In the afternoon, it returns to Kitzbühel via St. Johann and Reith.

The Alpine Rally Kitzbühel follows the most beautiful Alpine routes, offering breathtaking views of the magnificent landscape. After the success of last year's first City Grand Prix, Kitzbühel town centre will once again be part of the event. On 31 May, the final “Wildschönau” stage will lead into the town centre. The 2008 Alpine Rally finish will also be held here, giving visitors the chance to admire the elegant cars in the heart of the town.
