Wilder Kaiser: Early Winter Opening
This hasn’t happened at the Wilder Kaiser in 30 years! It’s been that long since the Wilder Kaiser - Brixental SkiWelt region opened this early for winter. It’s quite a sensation. The ski area will be open on weekends from November 17 until December 8. After that, all 90 mountain lifts and ski lifts will run continuously.

700 snow cannons
This winter, it’s really possible: 700 snow cannons are ready to go. They can cover 110 kilometres of slopes with snow in just 3 days. That’s a huge area – about the distance from the ski resort to Munich. Now the ski holiday can finally begin!
Ski region wins awards again
And those weren’t the only sensations. Last winter, the ski region was named one of the best in the world. It wasn’t the only award, either. The largest contiguous ski area in Austria is ranked among the world’s top resorts. Above all, because its already first-class winter sports offering is continually being improved—and because it keeps adding new lifts.
A highlight for winter sports enthusiasts
There’s another highlight for winter sports enthusiasts, too. Hexen-Sechser, Keat and Salvenmoos – 3 new floodlit runs – add to the existing facilities. Tirol’s largest night-skiing area is now waiting for the night owls. They love the ski area, including for its lively après-ski. Nightlife is a big deal in this ski region.
