The festive winter opening in Zell am See-Kaprun is just around the corner. Frau Holle is being kind to the ski area on the Kitzsteinhorn. The first snowboarders and skiers are already enjoying the magnificent powder snow. Here in Pinzgau, winter seems to be getting underway as early as autumn.

Many people are already waiting to pack their bags for a ski holiday at last. After all, the Zell am See-Kaprun ski area on the Kitzsteinhorn is one of the most popular in Austria. According to Falk Verlag, it is also said to be the most family-friendly ski area in Europe.

So it’s no wonder that the early start to winter is causing such excitement. There’s plenty of variety in the stunning Zell am See-Kaprun ski region. Snowboarders and freeskiers will find a wonderful playground at Roxy Glacier Park. It has it all: a picturesque winter landscape for relaxing, and a fantastic range of winter sports for burning off energy.
That’s certainly something worth celebrating. The party kicks off on November 23! And, of course, Wolfgang Ambros is one person who shouldn’t be missed. His hits are inseparable from après-ski hut parties. Après-ski without his song “Skifoan” just isn’t an option. Wolfgang Ambros is welcome everywhere, but he has a particularly strong connection to the Kitzsteinhorn ski region. It’s hard to keep count of how many times he has performed in Pinzgau. And he’ll be back for the winter opening on November 24!
Winter kicks off with powder snow
A great start to winter in Zell am See-Kaprun calls for more than just powder snow. That’s why Wolfgang Ambros and his hits will create the perfect atmosphere. The motto for the weekend party from November 23–25 is “Skifoan & Wolfgang Ambros.” Then it’ll be time to head off for a ski holiday in Kaprun.
