Tyrolean ski resort in the world of dragons
In October, the Familotels, which cater to families on holiday, devote themselves entirely to the mythical creatures known as dragons. Children can let their imaginations run free. One example is the Central & St. Johannes Hof Familotel in St. Johann (Tyrol). Children dressed as dragons set off on an unusual treasure hunt. They have to find the lost eggs of the legendary dragon in the Dragon Forest. Of course, the treasure is guarded by dragon figures made by the children. The Olympics of legendary mythical creatures also offer plenty of fun and imaginative play. Afterwards, the little ones can let off steam at the children’s disco with a dragon dance.
The Familotel in St. Zeno, in the greater Serfaus ski resort area of Tyrol, is also all set for dragon adventures. The children can look forward to exciting dragon stories and flying kites, as well as a visit to the nearby bird of prey station. There, the little ones can admire the majestic descendants of dragons. The “Sonnenresidence Alpenhof” is in Meransen, in the South Tyrol ski area. Here, imaginations are sparked by a mysterious torchlit walk through the Dragon Forest. There is also a painting competition, and children are invited to make up their own dragon tales.

Legends about the mysterious dragon are known throughout the world. This mythical creature has inspired our imaginations since time immemorial. In Chinese culture, it symbolizes positive strength, heavenly protection and power. So the “Schreinerhof Erlebnisbauernhof” Familotel made Asian dragons and dragon boats. At the dragon campfire in the evening, the boats are set afloat on the lake or stream amid the mysterious glow of tea lights.
So it’s time to set off for the land of dragons before golden October brings the spectacle to an end.
