First Beach Volleyball Court in the Dolomites

The Pichler brothers run the beautiful Garnischgerhof. They have provided light summer cuisine and exquisite drinks. Gentle blues and jazz create a relaxing atmosphere for unwinding. Well-known DJs play on Saturdays and Sundays.

It is in this setting that the first beach volleyball court in the Dolomites ski area has been created. 170 tons of white sand were brought in for the Riviera of the Mountains beach volleyball court. The effort was worthwhile. The ski area, usually popular with skiers and snowboarders, is now drawing visitors for summer vacations.

But there are other attractions besides the beach volleyball court. The only classic car rally in the fall attracts vintage car enthusiasts. The Eggental Autumn Classic starts at the Garnischgerhof from October 11 to 14.

The Baita Gardone mountain hut and the beach volleyball court can be reached via the Innsbruck–Bolzano–Trento motorway, exiting at Neumarkt. The route continues through the Fleimstal valley to the Stalimen Gardone valley station in Predazzo. The lifts are open from June 24 to September 23, daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. And, as last year, prominent rally drivers Natascha Ochsenknecht, Dana Schweiger, Tina Bordihn, and others will take part again.
