First Ski Holiday

A ski holiday is well worth taking at least once. The fact is, even beginners can tackle runs of intermediate difficulty in just one week. You can take your first turns on a gently sloping beginners’ hill. Basically, you don’t need all that much to succeed as a skier. Just make sure you always hit the slopes in a good mood. Warm, waterproof ski clothing is also very important.

And you can recover from the stresses of being a beginner on your first ski holiday with a little glass of mulled wine at après-ski. But be careful! Alcohol in excessive quantities is very dangerous. Above all, you should only drink alcohol after skiing, not during your lessons. Don’t worry—everyone has had their first ski holiday at some point. And everyone has made mistakes. Practice makes perfect.

Ski instructors teach individual students or groups. And the absolute first rule is to warm up properly. Ignoring this rule can lead to serious injuries. It’s not just the actual skiing that you have to learn. For many beginners, the ski lifts can be an even greater challenge on their first ski holiday. Getting on—and getting off—isn’t so easy at first. Ski students learn easily through various games and activities.

Wonderful ski areas for your first ski holiday are close by—whether in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. With crystal-clear mountain air and breathtaking panoramic views, every ski holiday is a joy, whether it’s your first or your tenth. Once you’ve skied through a fairytale winter landscape, you won’t be able to get enough of it.
