Hotels in Schladming, one of the most famous ski resorts in Austria, in 2013 will receive a new competitor. It promises to be one a hotel in the Dachstein region managed by the well-known Falkensteiner hotel chain.

The hotel will be located near the village of Planai not far from the cable car, which delivers tourists to the best slopes of Schladming, and receive 4* Superior status.
It will be located in the vicinity of one of the newest buildings in Schladming - Schladming Congress Centre, which was opened in November 2011.

Schladming ski resort is considered to be one of the most renowned in the Austrian Alps. It hosted major alpine skiing world championships for many times. In 2013 Schladming will host the next Alpine Skiing World Cup.

The total area of the hotel designed for 130 rooms will be 12 thousand square meters. It will offer opportunities for business recreation, active pastime and spa.

Among the main investors of the hotel are several Austrian companies. In addition to Falkensteiner the hotel will be also owned by the companies from Graz and Schladming.
The project participants expect to organize hotel presentation on the Christmas Eve 2012. However, it is difficult to say whether the developers will be able to finish in time.

Falkensteiner hotel brand is well-known first of all in Austria. The company operates in the luxury and premium-class hotel segments. Hotels of the Falkensteiner chain can be found at the leading resorts of the country. The company pays particular attention to the development of health recreation in its hotels. In addition to Austria Falkensteiner hotels can be found in Croatia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Not so long ago the company introduced the largest spa hotel at the Punta Skala resort in Croatia.
