Ski resort in Romania - Busteni - at the end of August 2011 introduced a new artificial ski slope. Now, even in the hottest summer the visitors of the amusement park Busteni, which is located on a new track, will be able to enjoy these winter pastimes.

The total area of the slope in Busteni is more than four thousand square meters. In addition to downhill slope, the new route provides for a possibilities for tube slope skiing. Despite the relatively small size, the new complex has excellent infrastructure and is equipped with the latest technology and is equal to the best ski resorts in Europe. Manager of the Busteni park, Ion Vasilescu, said in an interview: "Our park meets all modern requirements. Slope surface is covered with a special gel that gives a sense of real snow." The cost of ob=ne lift is 2 lei (50 cents), which is equal to the tube riding.

Busteni ski resort is located in the southern Carpathian Mountains on the shore of the Prachov mountain stream. Busteni is known as a popular mountaineering center, which organizes climbs of varying difficulty on the walls of the Gelbenele, Costa and Valea Alba slopes. From here start the most intriguing trails that begin in the top of Bucegi Mountains. From Busteni you can climb to the highest point of the mountain – the Omagh top (2505 meters), as well as to reach the famous heroes of the Cross of Heroes on the Karayman mountain, which is located at an altitude of 2025 meters builkt in 1928 in the honor of the Romanian soldiers guarding the pass from the German and Austrian troops during the First World War. At the height of 2290 meters are located two other local attractions - natural sculptures of Sfinksul and Babel.
