The largest ski resort in Serbia - Kopaonik - will host one of the largest ski festivals in the Balkans - The Big Snow Festival. The festival will be held from 23 to 29 March 2011.
The Big Snow Festival will be held with the support of EXIT Team - organizers of the biggest rock festival in Serbia - EXIT, which over the past few years has been held in Novi Sad and is considered as one of the biggest music events in the world.
The guests of the festival will be able to use 23 Kopaonik ski lifts, which will take music and active winter holiday amateurs to the resort’s routes. By the way, the total length of the Kopaonik ski tracks is 62 km. The resort itself is situated at an altitude of 1496 meters above the sea level.
At present the future list of the festival participants is not disclosed. Organizers only emphasize that the future Big Snow Festival will not concede to its summer counterparts - EXIT festival - nor by the level of the participants, neither by organization.
The Big Snow Festival is one of the largest winter festivals in Europe. Its concept makes it possible to unite amateurs of active leisure and modern music. For the last time The Big Snow Festival was held in 2011. It was hosted by Arinsal ski resort in Andorra from 13 to 20 March. At that time in Arinsal played their sets leading DJs from Britain.
Kopaonik is the most famous and the largest ski resort in Serbia. Part of the resort is located within the National Park. Kopaonik resort owners position it as the largest in Eastern Europe. Reputation of Kopaonik is an ideal resort for beginners, which at the same time has good selection of red tracks for experienced skiers.
